Linda's Cafe & Restaurant on Oxford Street in Bulimba carries forward the laid-back vibe of its predecessor, Cafe 63, while adding its own local flavour. Though it’s classified as both a café and a restaurant, the experience leans more towards a casual café setting with a focus on hearty breakfast and lunch fare.

This spot fits neatly into a neighbourhood where the morning crowd often swings by for a solid coffee and a relaxed start to the day. The coffee here uses Merlo beans, serving up well-regarded brews, though the temperature can occasionally be a little off from what locals expect. You’ll find a mix of regulars drawn by the affordable menu and varieties that go beyond the typical eggs and toast - think vegetarian pasta with fresh vegetables and chilli options for breakfast or the homecooked creamy mushroom-topped potato rosti, which has clearly made an impression. The menu also offers kid-friendly choices, burgers, wraps, and classic mains like grilled chicken breast and salt & pepper calamari, making it a practical stop for families or midday catch-ups.

The atmosphere at Linda’s is unpretentious and friendly. Staff are noted for being attentive without hovering, contributing to a calm and serene café environment. Outdoor seating is available, making it a pleasant spot to pop in during the quieter mid-morning or early afternoon hours, especially if you’re after a budget-friendly meal without compromising on portion size or variety.

A particular point of interest is Linda’s nod to the local food scene by incorporating some Vietnamese influences—visible in the anecdotal buzz about a special secret soup—and this adds a subtle distinction from other Bulimba cafés. It also serves alcohol, which gently broadens the appeal into casual, daytime socialising or relaxed weekend brunches.

This place will suit anyone looking for straightforward, comforting meals with a local touch rather than fine dining. It’s ideal for dog owners, families with children, and neighbourhood cafes enthusiasts who appreciate a quiet spot with friendly faces and robust menu choices. Later mornings or early afternoons on weekdays tend to be best for avoiding the busier rush and enjoying a more laid-back pace.

Used to be Cafe 63 but it’s been taken over by a lovely Vietnamese lady with a special secret Vietnamese menu. I just had the most incredible soup in history. My New I am quite hung over right now and I have the flu and I have a one year-old child that keeps you awake really late at night. It’s quite upsetting but that’s not what I’m here for. I’m here for the review of Lynda‘s cafe and restaurant established 2019. It’s actually really good and I’ll come here and try the other stuff soon, I thinkif I can get out of the house sorry for too much information in this review.

One of my favourite cafes. One I will drive out of my way for. I love bircher muesli for breakfast and here is one of the best. $4.50 for the 200g and just delicious. Was a Cafe 63 but Linda has made it even better. Highly recommended.

The menu offers a great choice of diverse options for Breakfast and Lunch. Not your normal average menu. The Staff were attentive and friendly. Coffee was good, however the temperature was not correct. I had the Potato Rosti no. 3 which was delicious. My friend had The Potato Rosti no 1. Pictures attached. Overall a good experience! Try for yourself......

Extremely friendly staff! Nice and serene cafe! The menu is extensive and the food is affordable. The quality of the food is average but you pretty much just get what you pay for. It’s a good place to go to when you’re looking for a budget friendly cafe.

Linda's seems to have taken over from the old Cafe 63 & has taken on a lot of their concepts. Coffee is Merlo & quite good. Food is an all day breakfast affair & they are licensed to serve alcohol. I enjoyed a vegetarian pasta for my breakfast which was a change from the usual eggs & avocado. Was very well done too with lots of fresh vegetables & chilli (optional) Service was great very attentive & big plus it's very dog friendly

Lovely staff, quick service and yummy food. We ordered Eggs Benedict and the eggs poach were perfectly cooked, ham and smoked salmon was lovely. Coffee was served in lovely mugs. The service size is just perfect for us and good pricing. We will definitely come back again! We notice it is pet friendly too so that's a bonus!
